The Pig Sacrifice

At first it was, it is now and in the future it will be the pig. And so even the ham, of Parma, of course!

In this case and in this gallery the one from Fratelli Galloni. Company among the best, which has always had the territoriality as strong element, characterizing its name. Started five years go, and obviously celebrated also this year, Fratelli Galloni, evey February, is celebrating the pig and its traditions by inviting and calling at the banquet, customers, representatives, employees' families, friends, administrators and politicians.

The theme is always the "Pig sacrifice": ancient ritual as the gestures of butchers that are repeated with the same wisdom passed down from generation to generation. This tradition creates surprise and admiration in the crowd of people (more than 400) invited by the Galloni Family. Everything happened among steaming cauldrons, large trays full of food and improvised, but fantastic, ham walls that have created a unique environment: a temporary restaurant, to put it in gastronomese slang.

In reality, especially for those who have had the good fortune and pleasure to be there, a rare meeting in which invitees ate (very well), talked, laughed, played, sang.
